Faro Bianco Wood Fired Pizza Restaurant Review

Italian is one of my favourite cuisines so whilst we were in Jervis Bay, we thought it would be rude not to try the pizza from the Faro Bianco Wood Fired Pizza Restaurant. Situated in the heart of Huskisson, Faro Bianco is a casual, family friendly restaurant and was already teeming with activity. We arrived around 8pm Sunday night and the majority of the restaurant was full; however our waitress managed to find us a table close to the window and brought out some menus for us.

The menu was pretty extensive with an array of different pizzas from the Traditional styles to their very own Gourmet pizzas. You could also satisfy your hunger with one of the pasta or meat dishes, but as it is known for its wood fired pizzas, I decided to go for pizza. After what seemed like an hour of deliberating, I ended up choosing the Supreme Pizza from the Traditional choices and this included ham, pepperoni, cabanossi, mushroom, capsicum, onion, pineapple and olives.

Faro Bianco Supreme Pizza

My boyfriend went for the gourmet lamb pizza. The gourmet pizzas did sound tempting, but I’m more of a classic pizza kinda girl, with lots of toppings! The more the merrier.

Service was quite slow tonight, probably because the restaurant was pretty full and we had to remind the waitress to bring out our drinks, but we weren’t in a major rush. Eventually, one of the pizzas arrived which was the gourmet lamb pizza and we were told the other wouldn’t be too much longer. My Supreme pizza soon followed about 5-10 minutes later and both pizzas looked pretty good. My Supreme had lots of toppings which I was very happy about and the pizza was actually really tasty. The base wasn’t too soggy and this medium size was just the right size for me. If you ordered the large you would probably have a couple of slices leftover to take home.

The restaurant is a good size with plenty of lager tables to accommodate groups. You can also do takeaway and there were lots of people ordering takeaway pizza whilst we were here.

Affordably priced, this is probably why Faro Bianco was a popular choice and the food was actually pretty nice. If you’re in the mood for Italian, then I would Faro Bianco Wood Fired Pizza Restaurant to all. However, service on this occasion was a little slow so be prepared to wait a little while when it’s particularly busy.
