Sydney Walks

Sydney is home to a plethora of scenic walks, from bushwalks through ancient national parks to coastal treks above spectacular beaches as well as harbourside walks following Sydney’s spectacular harbour.

Whether you’re looking for easy walks such as the iconic Hermitage Foreshore Track or a challenging 80km multi-day hike from Bondi to Manly (or even the 260km Great North Walk from Sydney to Newcastle), Sydney has it all to suit all fitness levels and ages.

I love the great outdoors and I try to get outside and explore as much as possible, whether that’s walking an old favourite, or discovering a hidden walk that I’ve yet to try. I believe that walking is one of the most accessible exercises you can do. Not only is it free, but it is also easy on the joints and you can walk at your own pace. It also allows you to discover new places, meet new people and challenge yourself. Walking also gives you time to clear your head, de-stress and focuses your attention on something else, which I think we all need from time to time.

Below, you will find a wide range of Sydney walks which include distances, walking maps and useful information. There are also many walks to appeal to different interests whether you’re interested in the best photo walks, history walks, urban walks or parkside walks.

I am in the process of compiling more Sydney walks, so if you don’t find a walk, feel free to contact me and let me know what walk you think I should write about next. I always love hearing from you.
